Pomelo Casa’s small Lebrillo Pitcher brings the traditional Spanish bird-or-pomegranate motif to a compact, hand-painted terracotta form in lilac. At approximately 6 inches high, it has the useful proportions of a true working pitcher: suited to milk or coffee at breakfast, sauces and soups at the table, cutlery on a buffet, or a small gathering of flowers. The lilac palette softens the graphic folk pattern without making it timid. Handmade and hand-painted in southern Spain, each pitcher carries subtle variations in brushwork and glaze.

“A small pitcher is often more useful than a grand one because it never has to wait for an occasion. Milk in the morning, sauce at supper, a handful of garden stems the next day: good things should be allowed to move easily through the house.”
-Mrs. Mayfair

Care & Ownership

Before first use, wash by hand in hot soapy water, rinse, and allow to air dry. The pitcher is dishwasher safe, although alternating with hand washing will help protect the hand-finished glaze from the effects of constant machine washing. Microwave and refrigerator safe; do not use in the oven. Small differences in brushwork and glaze are natural to these handmade ceramics.

Maker / Heritage

Founded by interior designer Francesca de la Fuente, Pomelo Casa grew from the ceramics she knew while growing up in southern Spain. The collection is handmade and hand-painted in a small family-run workshop in Granada, using traditional Lebrillo motifs and techniques the maker traces back more than five centuries. Formed from terracotta clay and finished by hand, each piece carries the slight variations in brushwork and glaze that distinguish ceramics made this way.
